Back on Screen

By 1975, both Sean and Luca were happily attending school and Audrey was tempted back to her film career by both a director and story she admired. Richard Lester, who had directed the first Beatles movie, A Hard Day's Night, was set to direct an updated version of Robin and Marian. The story reunited the lead characters in their later years, a concept that appealed to Audrey and she agreed to star opposite Sean Connery.

Next, Audrey reunited with her Wait Until Dark director, Terence Young, in his production of Bloodline, co-starring Ben Gazzara and James Mason.

In 1980, Audrey went to New York City to star in They All Laughed, co-written and directed by Peter Bogdanovich who crafted the role of Angela Niotes for Audrey. Sean also appeared in the movie as well as worked in production. After ten years of marriage, Audrey and Andrea Dotti separated and divorced.
