On November 4, 2006, Audrey Hepburn received the Lifetime Humanitarian Rose Award at a gala held at Kensington Palace in London, England. The award was accepted by Sean Hepburn Ferrer, co-founder and chairman of the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund.
The Humanitarian Rose Award is given yearly to recognize extraordinary individuals and leaders who have demonstrated that they share the late Princess Diana's commitment to assist the less fortunate and to honor the spirit of their own compassion which they use to effect positive change. Presented by the People's Princess Charitable Foundation, Inc., the award is named for the title of “England’s Rose” that was given to the Princess following her tragic death.
OSSA Award, 2005:
Style & Substance Award - Audrey Hepburn
The Outstanding Sustainable Style Achievement Award (OSSA) is the Sustainable Style Foundation's highest honor and recognizes outstanding efforts by a celebrity, style professional or public figure improving the quality of life for children around the world. Because the late Audrey Hepburn originally inspired the Award as an actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who worked to raise awareness of the plight of children around the world, the SSF Board of Directors has chosen resolutely to present the first Style & Substance Award to Ms. Hepburn through the Audrey Hepburn Children’s Fund established in her honor.
